Steps checked against the Crypto.com Help Center (article dated July 20, 2026): October 2026.
If you want to close your Crypto.com account, it is not a one-tap action. Several things must be empty first, and once the account is closed you cannot get it back.
This guide follows the current Crypto.com Help Center. It replaces the older email-and-photo method we described before, which the Help Center no longer lists as the way to close an App account.
- Your App/Web account, Visa Card and Exchange account must be closed together.
- Withdraw all funds first. If your balance is below the minimum withdrawal amount, contact Customer Support.
- You need no card balance, no active CRO Stake or Lockup, no active Crypto Earn terms, no Supercharger allocation and no open UpDown or Strike Options positions.
- Download your transaction history for tax records before closing, because you lose access afterwards.
- A closed account cannot be reactivated. You can sign up again as a new user, but without new-user promotions.

To close your Crypto.com account, complete the checklist below, then open the Crypto.com App and go to Settings > Account > Account Closure.

How We Checked This Guide
We rebuilt this guide from the Crypto.com Help Center article for App/Web accounts (dated July 20, 2026) and its separate Exchange closure article, checked in October 2026.
We did not close a Crypto.com account to test the flow, and we did not verify fees or app menus inside the app. The Help Center closure page does not list an account-closure fee, and Visa Card cancellation fees are covered in a separate Help Center article.
Before You Close Your Crypto.com Account: What to Think About
- It is permanent: Crypto.com cannot reactivate a closed account. You can only register again as a new user.
- New-user offers: A new account is not eligible for new-user promotions, including the seven-day card fee waiver and the sign-up bonus listed by Crypto.com.
- Visa Card fees: The closure page links a separate article on Visa Card cancellation fees. Read it if you have a card.
- Records: Keep your downloaded transaction history somewhere safe for tax filing.
- Emails: If promotional emails continue after closure, use the unsubscribe link in the email footer.
